Heather + RJ wanted all the Christmas & RVA feels for their engagement session, so naturally we started at one of my favorite places, Libby Hill Park, and ended the night downtown with the dreamiest Christmas lights! We completely lucked out in that our locations we not crowded, but also it was SIXTY DEGREES the day after Christmas. I could not have imagined better conditions to document such a special time in these two’s lives!

I met Heather back in our middle and high school days, so when she reached out about engagement portraits I was ecstatic! It’s no secret that I love couples photography, but I also love being able to catch up with old friends and meet their other halves! I can honestly say that RJ complimented her perfectly. They were not only extremely comfortable + playful together, but about halfway through their session I swear I didn’t even have to pose them anymore! They just naturally posed themselves, which of course made my job extremely easy, but it is always amazing to me when a couple can literally read my mind on what I’m wanting to do next without me even saying anything!

I swear I could have followed these two around with my camera forever, & I feel so so privileged to be able to be apart of these memories for them!
