This Epic Sunrise Mountaintop Engagement Session at the top of Blackrock Summit in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia was one for the books!

Jaimee and I met in high school, and quickly became close, with tons of after school sonic dates, and quite a few sleepovers but as many friendships do, we drifted over the years. When Jack proposed, she reached out about her wedding and I don’t think I have ever been more excited to meet for coffee & just catch up! When I met Jack, I could 100% tell right off the bat that he was without a doubt her soul mate.

We originally took their engagement portraits at the spot he proposed, but when I mentioned a mountain top session being on my bucket list, Jaimee was alllll over it! We all got up at 4:00 AM (with the help of a LOT of caffeine), drove to the mountains and began our hike up right as the sun was beginning to rise. When I tell you these two made all my photography dreams come true, it is an understatement. We were deliriously tired, but laughed our way through the session, climbed on a ton of rocks to get the best shots, & even tested fate with Jaimee’s life getting her to twirl & dip & in good news, she’s still here with us and it was TOTALLY worth it! This is 110% my favorite portrait session ever, and I cannot WAIT for their wedding this December!
