This past sunday, an amazing group of vendors came together at Kellam Estates Venue in Virginia Beach to create a little ecofriendly styled wedding magic! Wedding days are so fast paced, and while I absolutely love them, styled shoots are amazing to be able to just play around, & enjoy slowing down & smelling the roses (literally and figuratively!)
Jenna from Compass Rose Coordination was an absolute dream to work with. She covered every single detail, brought together all of the vendors & really just made it so easy for everyone to show up & do what they do best! This entire shoot was her vision, and she brought it to life in the most beautiful way!
Kellam Estates Venue is a new and upcoming venue in the Virginia Beach area & as soon as I arrived, my jaw was dropping. This place has so much history, but it is absolutely gorgeous & I’m positive if it isn’t already, it will be booked solid for years to come. From the AMAZING bridal suite, to the chandeliers on the barn overhang, to the magnolia trees, & the bistro lighting hanging throughout the property, the only thing better was how amazingly sweet the owners are!
The dress provided by Studio I Do Bridals was absolutely stunning & I am totally convinced that Jackie, the sweet sweet soul who volunteered her sunday to hangout with us so that we could use one of their gowns should totally be modeling as well! She was on point the entire day making sure that she was getting all of the best behind the scenes photos for instagram stories, as well as the official dress mover & fluffer, & honestly, she was just so helpful & a ray of sunshine throughout the day!
Our model, Kathryn Keefer, was first of all, absolutely gorgeous. I haven’t worked with many models, but I do have to say it was amazing to work with someone who just read my mind before I even said anything! She absolutely rocked everything the entire day & even did her own hair and makeup! She was the absolute sweetest and just so joyful to work with the entire day!
I worked alongside Tallyn from Cinema by Tallyn the entire time, and she was also a dream to collaborate with! She was super sweet the entire day, and has an amazing eye! Videography has always been special to me, I cry at every single video, whether I know the couple or not, and I’m convinced that every bride needs to invest in one (because I regret not investing in one for myself.) If you haven’t yet, you should absolutely go check out her video of the day!
Some other amazing vendors that helped to create the vision that I didn’t personally get to spend time with included Olivia with Olivia Rose Paper who created the most gorgeous menus & programs for us. Seriously, just look at them. They’re perfection! We also had the most beautiful bouquet put together by Debbie at Fluttering Flowers, and some rentals from Distinctive Event Rentals really tied everything together for us!
Lastly, although I didn’t get to see her sunday, our baker, Kristy, of Bells Bakery did NOT disappoint. She is always on point with her cakes and as gorgeous as they are, you haven’t seen anything until you taste them! Biting into a piece of her cake was definitely a highlight of the day for me! I may be slightly biased since we actually used her for our wedding, but she is just the absolute best!
