Picture this: Halee + Jason are only in town for a few days, their scheduled engagement session is in 30 minutes, and the weather that has been nice all day just changed to a chance of thunderstorms. Cue my panic! We decided to give it a try & hope for the best, and my oh my did the best happen! No raindrops in sight, and hanging out with them felt like catching up with old friends!
We started at a local Virginia Beach park, explored a bit, enjoyed the salty air, and right from the start, these two seemed just so comfortable snuggling up, while simultaneously joking the entire time. This park is one of my favorites, but it was even more of a pleasant surprise that they now have some wildflowers growing along the walkway – talk about the best of both worlds!
From there, we headed across the street to the oceanfront, and the sky just hand delivered us the most perfect sherbet sunset, which we were definitely NOT expecting considering it had been mostly dark clouds looming overhead most of our time together. We kept joking that Mother Nature was on our side, but she truly was!
Halee + Jason – 10/10 you guys killlllled it! Thank you so much for choosing me to capture this time in your life! I had an absolute BLAST getting to know you guys better & words could never explain just how excited I am for your wedding – it is guaranteed to be a total funfest!
XO,
Heather Lacey
