Lexie and I met years and years ago, when we were in middle school. It was a fast friendship & we definitely fought like sisters, but knew at the end of the day we would always be there for each other throughout our lives, and 16 years later, that still holds true.
I was excited beyond belief when she told me that she was getting married, and when she told me about her topsail island destination wedding plans, I was 1000% on board! Unfortunately, like so many other couples, Corona swooped in and changed their plans. They ended up having the sweetest intimate wedding ceremony on the beach with only their closest family, which meant that I wasn’t able to make it.. But the photographer in me just couldn’t bear the thought of my oldest friend not having proper wedding portraits.
Luckily, Lexie & Jon were living at topsail island temporarily due to Jon being in a military school nearby, so I decided to go visit for a weekend & have them get dressed up so we could sneak some portraits in between enjoying the beach & mimosas!
Destination weddings are always a dream for me & this was no different! Since it was a holiday weekend (oops! totally did not plan that well) the beaches were a little more crowded than usual, but we found a small little area near the pier & it was just pure magic!
Jon, I could not have hand picked a better man to spend forever with my Lexie, and I am so so thankful for you spoiling her constantly and treating her like the princess she is. You guys are the perfect match & I cannot wait to see where your lives take you! I will forever be in your corner & I love you both!
Lovely couple. Gorgeous pics.
