Hannah + Michael wanted a building with historic vibes as well as gorgeous outdoor areas for their engagement shoot in Richmond, Va, and the Pumphouse at Byrd Park was the perfect spot!

These lovebirds’ story began many many years ago when they were each other’s first kiss, & has blossomed over the years. When Hannah told me how Michael proposed, I just knew we would get along perfectly! Michael popped the question, at Jockey’s Ridge in the Outer Banks at Sunset, which is one of my absolute favorite places!

When I met Hannah + Michael for their engagement portraits, the first thing Michael told me was that he hated having his picture taken. I laughed, and promised him that most of my grooms feel this way, but I would make it as painfree as possible! They snuggled in close, laughed together, gave me their best “serious model faces,” and Michael absolutely perfected one of my favorite poses, “the nuzzle!”

I absolutely cannot wait for these two’s wedding in April!
